By public transport to Texel
Texel is very easy to reach by public transport. Whether you want to start your journey to Texel from home or, for example, from Schiphol Airport: with just one change of train, you can travel to the island in comfort.
To Texel by train
The port of the ferry to Texel is in Den Helder. This town also has a train station, where a train from Amsterdam arrives twice an hour.
From the station to the ferry port
From Den Helder's train station, a direct bus goes to the ferry port. This bus service connects directly to the ferry and the bus ride takes 10 minutes. From Leeuwarden and Den Oever, there is also a bus connection to Den Helder train station.
To Texel from Amsterdam
From Central Station there is a direct connection to Den Helder, this train goes twice an hour. The train journey takes about one hour and fifteen minutes and there is no need to change trains.

Public transport to your holiday home
From the ferry, there is a bus connection to Den Burg and De Koog. The bus stop is a 4-minute walk from our holiday homes.
Public transport on Texel
Once you arrive at your destination, you can choose to rent a bike on Texel (bike rental in our area), but you can also explore the island without a bike. At 4 minutes' walking distance from our holiday homes is the Texelhopper bus stop.
From here, a direct bus goes every hour to Den Burg and back to the ferry port. You can also reach all other villages and locations by the so-called Texelhopper on-call bus. You can book this at least one hour in advance and the driver will take you to the desired location on Texel and, by arrangement, back to the bus stop.
